Transportation


Limited transportation assistance is available, to those who have a medical card going to a medical reimbursable appointment.

The Enhanced Medicaid Transportation Program is designed to assist individuals to Medical appointments.

Who is eligible?

  • You have a current Medicaid card for the same month as your appointment
  • You have met your spend-down for the month
  • Your appointment is for a service paid by Medicaid, such as counseling, doctor visits, prenatal appointments
  • You do not require ambulance or ambulate services or you are able to ride in a car or van
  • You are pregnant and have applied for Medicaid
  • You have given a minimum of 10 working-days notice of your appointment.

Transportation Options?

Ross County Job and Family Services uses three options based on customer need and driver availability:

  • RossGo transportation services is available for eligible residents who have a valid need of transportation. You must give three days notice.  You may contract RossGo at 740.772.7495.
  • Gas Vouchers: Vouchers are issued to eligible participants who can use their car or friend or relative's car for the transportation to the Medicaid reimbursable appointment. You must give 10 days notice. Vouchers can be redeemed at local gas stations in Ross County.
