Fraud
Investigations/Benefit Recovery
The
Fraud Investigations/Benefit Recovery Unit of the Ross County
Job & Family Services exists to reduce fraud within
all public assistance programs. The goal of this unit is
to prevent fraud and maintain program integrity. The unit
accepts referrals and conducts investigations on reports
of suspected or potential fraud.
Through investigation it can be determined whether a participant
or household is reporting inaccurate or false information
in an attempt to receive benefits for which they are not
eligible.
The Benefit Recovery unit is responsible for collection
of any overpayment for the programs administered by the
Department of Job and Family Services.
