Cluster
Many children have complex problems which require the services
of several different agencies. Ross County’s Family
and Children First Council created a “Cluster”
which addresses the multiple needs of children. The purpose
of Cluster is to review specific cases and to develop a community
support plan which effectively meets the needs of the child
and family. Cluster referrals may be made directly to Kathy
Wolfe at Ross County Job and Family Services at 740-772-7620.
A copy of the Service Coordination Plan is available upon
request.
After School Programs
Partnerships with community-based organizations have been
formed to ensure the success of the after-school programs
in the community. The after-school programs provide a safe
and engaging environment that motivates and inspires learning
outside the regular school day. For more information regarding
after school programs in the community, please contact Teresa
Juenger, Family and Children First Council Coordinator at
740-773-2651.
Grants/Funding Opportunities
Grants funded through Ross County Juvenile Court, Title V,
Title II, TANF, and Partnerships for Success focus on diverting
youth from court sanctions and provide services to strengthen
families. With community support from law enforcement, service
providers, and community organizations, the number of juvenile
charges filed continues to decrease.
Many lives have been touched through programs
supported by Council. As new programs are implemented, we
will continue to prepare children and families for successful
futures.
