Assistance
Family Assistance offers many programs to strengthen and maintain individuals and families meeting income guidelines. Programs include:
• Food Stamps to help meet nutritional needs.
• Health care coverage for children and low-income families – Healthy Start and Healthy Families.
• Health care for the elderly and disabled including nursing home and in home waiver services.
• Time-limited Ohio Works First (OWF) cash for families with minor children or pregnant women to help move them toward self-sufficiency.
• Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) benefits to help with life’s unexpected events – Locally know as the ASSET program.
• Collaboration with the JOBS One-Stop emphasizing employment and advancement opportunities.
• Investigate allegations of fraud or benefit abuse – benefit Recovery
• Referrals to other community partners and agencies to meet presenting needs.
