Ross County Job & Family Services does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of their status in a protected class (race, color, national origin, disability, age, gender, religion, and, for WIA applicants & participants only, veterans status).

Any employee observing an activity which may be construed as discriminatory shall promptly report the incident, situation or procedure to the Agency Civil Rights Officer. Any complaint alleging a discriminatory act in any action taken by the agency or an agency employee in their role as a Job & Family Services employee, or the Agency in its role as an employer, shall be promptly forwarded to the appropriate party.

Program Eligibility Requirements

It should be noted that some programs and services that we administer have age, disability or veteran status requirements that are mandated by law. We must follow these legal guidelines in determining whether or not someone can receive or participate in a program or service. For example, to receive Medicaid for the Aged, an individual must meet specific age guidelines.

Interpreter & Translation Services

The agency uses Language Line Services to provide free interpreter services to persons with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) to facilitate their communication with agency staff. We can also provide free translation of agency forms and letters into a customer's native language.

For our hearing impaired customers, we will arrange for free sign-language interpreter services for interviews and other interactions with agency staff.
