Adult Protective Services

State law requires caseworkers to evaluate any risk to the safety and well-being of alleged victims. If they find that there is a risk, caseworkers work with families, social service agencies and other community resources to meet the person's needs and to improve the situation.

Adult Protective Services is responsible for investigating and evaluating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of adults age 60 and older. Services are available to those at risk of harm, those unable to protect themselves, and those who have no one else to protect them. If you suspect someone is at-risk you may report it by calling (740) 773-2651.
